Bangkok's 'Mexican' Gangsters

This example of cultural appropriation is so interesting for me because we can observe how a culture take a piece of a totally different culture and they transform it into something that belong to them. In specific this example is so interesting because this people took the clothes and music styles of the Mexican gangsters, a culture that is know as violent and problematic, and they use it in a right way. 

"Clothes and looks don't measure anything" this quote said by one of the member of a Thai "gang" fit perfectly in this case because they have to deal with people that thinks they are criminal when first meet them because of their clothes and their phisical aspect, but actually, most of this people are normal, they work in offices, they are teachers, cops, etc., and I think that we should learn to not judge a person for their look, or their clothes, or their skin color, but we should start looking deeper in their personalities.

Say No To Racism

After watching the video about discrimination against Afrocolombians we can see the that this people have been forgotten by both goverment and the society and the result of that is the stadistics that show the problems that they face every day. I think that Colombians should do somenthing for this people, we should include them in our society and make them part of our development, because they are Colombians too and they represent a big part of our identity.

WELCOME

My name is Natalia Acosta, I am 18 years old, and I am third semester business administration student at Universidad Del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. In my free time I like to go to the beach, read, spend time with my friends, go to the movies, watch TV (most of the time I watch soccer, foreign TV series and Colombians soap operas). I also enjoy to learn different languages like Italian and Portuguese and one of my favorite things to do is listen music, I'm not the kind of person who is wearing headphones all the time but music relax me so I listen music every day.

I start my daily routine at 6:30 from monday to wednesday when I go to the university and I finish at 5:30 after my english classes then I go to the gym sometimes, I take a shower, I do my homework and watch tv. But my favorite day of the week is thursday because at night I always hang with my friends and we always do different things. Most of the people go out on friday or saturday but I rather like thursdays. 

I'm fan of Barcelona and my favorites soccer players are Messi and Robin van Persie.
